Thank You
It's our three-month anniversary already. Crazy, eh?

Thank you to all our loved ones for your support and generosity as we celebrated our way from one continent to another. Thank you especially to my mom and dad, who never said no to anything during our nonstop party planning and adventure-seeking. They have always showered Matty and me with all their love. I know for those of us who spent that weekend in Amsterdam together, we made long-lasting memories we'll always share. It still moves us to think about all the time, energy and effort y'all put in to join us in Europe. Thank you.

But we're also so touched and grateful for all our friends and family who were with us in Texas, through the seemingly never-ending parade of parties. We're so blessed to have friends and family that hosted and joined us at a beautiful engagement party, shower, the legal wedding proceedings in court, bachelor and bachelorette nights in Texas and Europe and, lest we forget, an after-party that lasted until the early morning.

We love you so much. Dankuweil, thank you, 谢谢.

One Month Til Amsterdam!

Now that the volcanic ash has cleared, the wedding can go on. We're so
excited that you are going to make it across the ocean for the big
wedding weekend. We will be providing transportation to and from the
airport as you need it. Please email Elise or Matty with your
itinerary ASAP so we can make sure someone will be at the airport to
pick you up.

Those of you who are in the wedding party, we will meet at
Tassenmuseum at 4:00pm on Friday for the rehearsal. It will be pretty
informal. The first time we will all see each other in Amsterdam is
dinner on Friday. The new dinner location is now on a boat, right near
the Amsterdam Central Station. The restaurant is called Sea Palace,
it's the only "floating" restaurant in Europe, modeled after Hong
Kong's famous Jumbo Boat, and Mom was finally satisfied with the menu
after the other locations failed to live up to her standards for
culinary creativity and skill.

A reminder on your passports. Please  make sure they are not about to
expire and that you have it handy and ready to pack for the trip.
Other items you might want to have handy: plug converters for your
small appliances since the European system is different, a warm jacket
or coat (Amsterdam will be in the mid forties Fahrenheit at night),
and memory cards for your camera, of course.

Stay tuned for more updates. See you soon!

Dig out that passport. We're getting hitched May 29, 2010, in one of the world's classiest and quirkiest cities. This website includes the information you need to know, plus updates as we get closer to the big weekend.

We're getting married in Amsterdam because of its old-world charm, easygoing people and proximity to Elise's parents, who live in The Hague.

Amsterdam boasts of more canals than Venice, so we're planning to have the ceremony in one of Amsterdam's proud 17th-Century homes along the canals.

A champagne-infused boat ride will take us all to the reception. The night before the wedding, we hope you'll join us for a welcome dinner featuring a traditional Chinese ten-course meal in the city's Chinatown.

Amsterdam not only is stunningly beautiful but relaxed and culturally rich. We know you'll think so, too.

On this site you'll find the weekend wedding schedule, practical tips for Amsterdam travel and suggestions for places to stay and see. (Take a video tour of our recent wedding planning adventure). Our hope is that some of you will make a vacation out of this and enjoy nearby world-class cities, such as Brussels and Paris.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone on the other side of the world. Thank you to all of our friends and family for your support and love over the years.

Met vriendelijke groet,

Elise and Matt(y)
